Faith Matters

What I have learned through my own healing journey and training is how resilient the body can be. You may think you are too far gone or that healing is not possible, but Scripture tells us:

“I will bring health and healing… I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.”

Jeremiah 33:6

Your body may be weak, but He is strong.

Healing often begins with a shift in how we think, what we believe, and how safe the body feels. It includes trusting that God is capable, that you are secure in Him, and that your body has a remarkable capacity to adapt and recover.

Sometimes healing is not instant or complete, but we can create conditions that support it. When the nervous system is constantly in a state of stress, recovery can be more difficult. When the nervous system begins to experience greater safety, the body may be better positioned to rest and recover.

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

Philippians 4:8

Faith matters when it comes to healing.

We now understand more about how the brain and body work together. In some forms of primary chronic pain, the nervous system can learn pain as a protective response. When pain is repeatedly met with fear, the brain may continue to interpret the signals as danger, reinforcing the cycle.

The brain can also change. In a randomized clinical trial of Pain Reprocessing Therapy, many adults with primary chronic back pain experienced substantial relief as they learned to reinterpret pain signals as less threatening. This research does not mean that all pain is learned or that medical evaluation is unnecessary.

This connects closely with what Scripture says in Romans 12:2: “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” This is where healing can often become possible.
